January 28th, 2015 Accenture Announces Extension to Enbridge Gas Distribution’s Customer Care Business Process Outsourcing Agreement The customer care BPO contract extension includes enhanced strategic and operational services. Enbridge and Accenture will collaborate to jointly identify and develop innovations to drive improvements in customer service. Penang services sector to outpace manufacturing in 2015 Penang’s fast-growing services sector looks set to overtake manufacturing as the state’s key economic driver this year, thanks to an increasing interest in the state’s tourism products and other support services. Indiana BMV outsourcing license plate production, car registrations with $72 million contract WISH-TV reported Monday that the BMV has entered into a $72 million contract with Intellectual Technology Inc. The company and will receive yearly payments from the Indiana BMV until the end of 2019. The contract is expected to save the BMV nearly $14.4 million over five years. AIB to outsource 170 IT roles to three service providers The bank, which is 99.8 per cent owned by the State, wants to outsource these roles to three companies - Eircom, Integrity and Wipro. Pemex looks to save US$1.5bn in procurement and supply The anticipated savings are due to better contract negotiations achieved by the corporative supply and procurement department, which was created as part of the country's energy reform, Pemex said in a release. Xerox Offloads IT Outsourcing Business in $1.05 Billion Deal The boards of both companies have approved the deal, which is expected to close sometime in the first six months of 2015 pending regulatory approval and consultation with employee representative groups. January 5th, 2015 Xerox selling its IT outsourcing unit to France’s Atos The move is part of a larger transformation led by CEO Ursula Burns. IBM announces launch of Japanese cloud data center with SoftLayer IBM has announced the opening of its first cloud data center with SoftLayer in Japan.
