SSON Announces 2011 Excellence Awards Winners Australia

Presented during the 14th Annual Australasian Shared Services & Outsourcing Week in Melbourne, these awards recognise those organisations that demonstrate leading best practices while generating measurable results in the core competencies of shared services and outsourcing. The focus of this year’s awards shifted from "best in" to "excellence in," a change that reflects the importance of achieving results in addition to leading with best practices. More than 450 industry professionals attending Shared Services & Outsourcing Week looked on as the winners were acknowledged for excellence in categories ranging from customer service to improvement and innovation. And I think [this award] will be fantastic recognition for their hard work, so thank you to SSON and the Excellence Awards for the opportunity!" said Brian Roche, who accepted the Excellence in People and Communication Award on behalf of those at the WA Department of Treasury and Financial Shared Services. Asheesh Mehra of Infosys, who won two awards on the night, echoed the sentiment, stating, "I am humbled to receive the acknowledgment of my clients who voted in the People’s Choice award – and doubly thrilled that a panel of independent industry experts have recognised the outstanding customer service that the NAB and Infosys teams have delivered together.
