The Essentials of Shared Services: ScottMadden Shares the Fundamentals at SS&O Meeting

ScottMadden, Inc., recently confirmed they will once again host the ‘Shared Services 101’ Workshop on the fundamentals of designing, building and implementing shared services during the 18th Annual North American Shared Services & Outsourcing Week (SS&O Week) in Orlando this March. Although the workshop is designed as a step-by-step roadmap of activities to plan, launch, and stabilize a new shared services operation (SSO), it also caters to professionals who are looking to become multi-functional or planning an additional location. Participants will be provided critical success factors for their business case, the top 10 implementation challenges to avoid, and three keys to post-launch success.

Globally each year, SSON’s ‘Shared Services 101’ workshops attracts approximately 400+ senior executives charged by their organization with the successful launch of their shared service center—an initiative that alone can typically run for over three years. The continued success of the ‘Shared Services 101’ workshop, tailored each year with re-evaluated and updated content, is a reflection of the industry’s continued demand for strategic training.

The SS&O Week’s program will be tackling topics including the rise of GBS, Data Analytics, Customer Value and Agility in a Changing Market, with speakers representing companies such as UPS, Levi’s, NBC Universal, Nationwide, Bank of America, Facebook, Marriott Business Services and American Express. The conference, to be held March 11-14, 2014 at the Disney Contemporary Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL, is designed to promote information-sharing and networking between SS&O professionals from different functions – whether HR, Finance, Procurement or GBS – as well as verticals and maturity.
