G6 North America 2011 - Deborah Kops, Sourcing Change

One of the things that emerged from the G6 panel in Orlando this year is that there is no longer an either/or when it comes to outsourcing and shared services, says moderator Deborah Kops, founder of Sourcingchange.com. She comments on most of the G6 agreeing that there were now a range of solutions, depending on what your business wanted to achieve ­ representing a "major change in direction for this crop of providers." Clients are becoming more sophisticated ­ they know how to structure a sourcing contract and lead in governance. But the provider base is changing too ­ there is a greater sense of confidence and pragmatism in the global providers, while the offshore providers are still developing networks and relationships with clients.
