SSON JOB BOARD: Accounts Payable Analyst (Accountant), Makati City PH - Odfjell Drilling

Odfjell Drilling Philippines is looking for a service minded and positive Accounts Payable Analyst (Accountant) who can contribute to strengthening our GBS Finance organization. The majority of the Accountant's task is to process end-to-end accounts payable supporting our EMEA and APAC regions. The position will also be responsible in accounts reconciliation and accruals.

 Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for end to end Account Payable process which includes but not limited to:
  • Matching of invoices to Goods receipt on Purchase Orders
  • Distribute invoices for coding and authorization
  • Posting of authorized invoices Prepares supplier invoices payments
  • Follow-up on discrepancies in matching, and on missing goods receipt
  • Posting of customer payments and reconciliation of Accounts Receivable
• Responsible for the following Reconciliation:
  • Interim Accounts Payable not yet invoiced
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Intercompany reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliations
• Participate in month end reporting procedures which may include accruals
• Play an active role on continued improvement in our work processes
• May perform other related tasks that may be required from time to time

Qualifications and Skills

• Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field
• With two(2) years of accounting experience and skills within accounting processes and ERP systems is an advantage but fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Experience working in a multicultural environment or shared services is an advantage
• Has working knowledge and professional experience within relevant ERP, IT software and systems supporting the company’s accounting processes is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with particular focus on MS Excel skills
• Has the ability to take initiative and can make sound judgement within applicable scope, procedures and guidelines
• Has the ability to work independently as well as in a cross functional teams
• Has good analytical and problem solving skills Structured, accurate, systematic and committed to deliver within deadlines
• Has excellent communication skills
• Motivated to facilitate and contribute to the company’s growth
