Rating recognizes Ericsson HR Global Operations focus on quality and ability to execute projects in a predictable manner

New Delhi, 17th April 2018: Ericsson Human Resources Global Operations (HR GO) today announced that they have been certified at the highest maturity level of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). The appraisal was performed by KPMG as a chief auditor and assessment has been carried out at Ericsson India Global Services Pvt. Ltd. Gwal Pahari, Gurugram Haryana center.

CMMI is a capability improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. An appraisal at maturity level five indicates that the organization is performing at an "optimizing" level. At this level, an organization continually improves its processes based on a quantitative understanding of its business objectives and performance needs.

Ericsson HR GO achieved CMMI Level 3 in 2017, and has now been assessed at Level 5, the highest level possible under the CMMI model. With this certification, Ericsson HR GO is the only captive organization in HR Shared Services space who has achieved CMMI level 5 in less than a year’s time against industry standard which usually takes one and a half to two years.

Achieving CMMI Level 5 certification acknowledges Ericsson HR GO’s consistent focus on driving continuous, innovative and well-defined process improvements and ensuring the highest quality and predictability of service delivery to clients.

Commenting on the achievement, Anshu Gupta, Head of Ericsson HR GO says, “The biggest advantage of CMMI 5 framework is that it has brought standardization in our complex and widely spread-out organization, now irrespective of location, our COE (Center of excellence), GSSC (Global Shared Services Center) employees have started using same language of CAM (Capability and Availability Management) and effort estimation. This is really a great moment for us and we certainly look forward to applying our technical expertise to our internal clients’ critical business projects in order to help them meet their desired strategic goals which will ultimately contribute towards overall organization growth.“

With CMMI level 5 accomplishments Ericsson HR GO will be the only organization to be CMMI level 5 certified in HR Shared Services landscape who has implemented predictive data modelling where they can easily anticipate and predict futuristic outcome in terms of headcount requirement, load balancing, span of control, etc.

This appraisal result reinforces their commitment towards their customers to deliver high quality services in this rapidly evolving era.
