The "Gig-economy" – what are you doing about it?

We are hearing more and more about part-time labor, or 'independent labor' now, than we ever did before. The thinking is that corporations will scale up or down, as needed, via these kinds of unltra-flexible resources.

Just yesterday, I posted the latest blog by Mary Sue Rogers ("HR shared services and the “Gig Economy”), which addressed exactly this point: how does HR ensure it is focusing on serving the needs of this sector of the workforce?

Earlier, I saw my friend Todd Rapahel at ERE, had posted an interview online with Talent expert Kevin Wheeler. Kevin heads the Future of Talent Institute, and you really need no other excuse to follow him.
