Congratulations to SSOPro Graduates 2012

Congratulations to all students and graduates who worked on the SSO Pro course in 2012, globally. We’ve just attended the graduation ceremony for the NSW Businesslink Government cohort in Australia, which has been the largest group graduation this year – so congratulations to them! We’re aware how much work was involved in getting such a large group over the line. It was inspiring! Photo shows 16 of the 21 recent Businesslink SSO Pro 'graduates' with NSW Businesslink Pty Ltd's Chief Executive, Albert Olley, and Natalie Williams od SSON's Sydney office To provide some background: As some of you may know, the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network was launched about 16 years ago, from our New York and London offices. Originally, the goal was to gather together implementation managers within this budding industry at events in the US and UK. Of course, the industry rapidly gained momentum and SSON’s founders recognized the need for more constant contact and interaction with key players. As a result, we began developing our editorial and research offerings to complement the event series. More recently, in 2010, the SSO Pro online training certification was added to our resource offerings. Once we’d identified the skills gaps inherent in the workforce, we set about researching the training needs of the shared services/outsourcing community and laying the foundations for the first official online shared services certification program. Two years on, 35 countries and well over 300 companies are represented in the program, and SSO Pro is daily helping practitioners from around the world develop their skill set across 10 core competencies. We are delighted that SSO Pro is making great headway in giving back to our industry some tangible training and the skills to apply on a daily basis. Our primary goal was, and still is, to lift the industry to the next level – and to give those working in this industry the credibility deserved, in line with associations within accountancy and so forth. In 2013, we plan to push SSO Pro out to an even wider audience, making the SSO Pro certification the most valued, recognized and professional online services delivery certification there is.
