With over 84,000 shared services and outsourcing practitioner, analyst and industry expert members in its community, the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON) can confidently say that the number one question the SSON team gets asked is "What are successful shared services leaders doing differently?"

In a global effort to answer this question, SSON will be hosting its 7th Annual North American Shared Services & Outsourcing Excellence Awards in Orlando, FL this March and are inviting successful SSC leaders to share their achievements and roadmaps.

Applications are being accepted untill January 16th 2015, so please apply now on www.sharedservicesweek.com/awards.

The SS&O Excellence Awards is a globally recognized, annual industry awards ceremony, which honors and celebrates SSC and service delivery teams who have exceeded industry standards in their SS&O initiatives.

2014 winners include world-leading organizations such as BP, Tyco, Ascension Health and the Program Support Center for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; previous winners include Levi Strauss, Intel, SAP Americas, NASA, EMC, P&G, Charmer Sunbelt, and UPS.

Lee Coulter, the CEO of Ascension Health Ministry Service Center whose team won 2 awards this past March for Culture Creation and Improvement and Innovation, shared insight on his organization’s ‘winning’ methods during a video interview with SSON:

"We started from the beginning with cultural blueprinting and decided what we wanted our culture to be; these were all defined in the 6 months of the organization," Lee says about Ascension Health’s culture creation. "We have a whole host of different things that we do to expose our associates to the core of our mission, including courses and community engagement all intended to bring that culture to every one of our associates everyday."

Individual practitioner leaders have also been recognized for the direct impact on their teams and network, including Rick Arpin, SVP and Corporate Controller from MGM Resorts International in 2013 and Chris Piazza, SVP Enterprise Finance Services from Warner Bros. Entertainment.

The Annual Shared Services & Outsourcing Awards will take place during the SS&O Week from March 9-12, 2015. The event provides a networking and benchmarking platform for SS&O practitioners, analyst firms and industry leaders, catering to executives from different functions, cross-industry and SSC maturities.
