Global Business Services: Transformation Realized

GBS transformation

gbscoverThe Global Business Services delivery model has proven itself the best vehicle for keeping costs low and driving value across global operations.

It is also supremely well-positioned to lead today’s digital enterprise transformation.

And yet, it is infrequently given that mandate, hindering its ability to advance the digital agenda.

This report, based on an extensive survey by SSON, highlights some of the actions that could be taken to counter that. It also probes common GBS characteristics, top priorities and core strengths – and answers that million-dollar question: What does it mean to be "digitized"? [And what's preventing GBS from becoming more digitized? (see p. 16)]

What the survey unearths is that one in five GBS are shifting towards a “virtual” model – a significant result, given this topic was hardly discussed a year ago.

Please download the report for details, as well as interviews with GBS leaders like Caroline Basyn from Mondelez, and Sanjay Patel from Takeda, touching on Future of Work strategies and Resiliency.
