Task mining is a form of process exploration that collects user data on how an employee is interacting with a process in real-time. Task mining looks at user data on the front-end, meaning a user’s clicks, keystrokes, data entry, and any other interaction on an application or machine.

Despite task mining’s effectiveness at providing insight into processes, only 28% of shared service organizations (SSOs) have invested in the technology according to the Intelligent Automation 2022 Benchmarking Survey.

Based on that figure, it appears many organizations are unaware of task mining's impact as it relates to preparing processes for automation and observing user productivity.

This report breaks down how task mining will help deliver process operations in the new remote work environment.
